All of our programs are in full action for this school year. We are serving more teachers and students with plates full of agriculture and BC food for thought each year!

During the year many have asked, “How can we help?” So I thought I would outline our needs for both volunteers and financial support here at the BC Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation. If your offer is from you as an individual or you want to get your company involved we would be happy to hear from you!

Volunteering opportunities - For those of you looking to help us bring BC’s agriculture to our students:

Spuds in Tubs – Each teacher on the program receives a kit to grow potatoes, so we need help one day in February packing up over 9,000 potatoes!

Fundraiser Dinner – Our Annual Fundraiser Dinner will take place April 29th, so we will need help with the set up and take down of chairs, tables, and decorations that day.

The Pencil Patch – We have lots of volunteer opportunities for our garden program, from garden maintenance (April to October) to helping with student tours from April to June. If you love gardening and the great outdoors this is for you!

AITC Mail Outs – We always need help packaging and mailing out information to schools.

Annual Giving Donations – It is also the time of year we reach out to our AITC friends and partners to request continued support for the work of BC Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation as well as program building needs. Your donations keep us going, and children growing! All donations receive a tax deductible receipt: http://www.aitc.ca/bc/annual-giving-program
