A First for British Columbia

The BC School Fruit and Vegetable Nutritional Program (BCSFVNP) is part of Healthy Families BC, an initiative to improve the health of BC children and families. Participating public schools receive 1 serving of fresh and ready to eat fruits and vegetables to classrooms for 13 selected weeks over the school year.

These snacks are not intended to replace breakfast, recess snack or lunch. We provide a healthy, fresh snack and introduce children to new foods so that they can make their own healthy choices. Whenever possible, our first choice is to serve local, grown in BC fruits and vegetables. Find out more...
